“What are the watch buttons for? Do I need a watch?”
No. Those buttons send defensive shift calls to a companion watch app, but that app isn't released yet. Right now the buttons don't do anything, even if you have a watch. The watch app will be released with Diamond Signals, the next app after Scout, which rolls out soon after Scout. If the buttons are in your way, turn off Watch features on the home screen and they disappear.

“Why can't I track baserunners, or enter runs as they score?”
That's intentional. Diamond Scout tracks the batter and where the ball went, not runners moving around the bases. The score at the top is a manual tally you can adjust, and you can leave it alone if you don't need it. Scout is a scouting app, not a scorebook. For full scorekeeping, GameChanger already does that job.

Answers and known issues are posted here as they come in — worth a quick look before you write.

Most helpful: anything that confused you, anything that broke or felt slow, a screen you didn't understand. Worth trying: log a few at-bats (a real game or a made-up one), open a hitter's card, set a defensive shift.

Comments are stored in Jeff's Firebase database and used only to improve the apps. The apps themselves collect no data — this form is the only thing that sends anything, and only when you tap Send.
